Dubious Goals Committee
A Dubious Goals Committee is a committee in the English football leagues which Adjudication, adjudicates in any instance where the identity of the scorer of a Scoring_in_association_football, goal is disputed. The Premier League Committee meets on an ad hoc basis, whenever a disputed goal is brought to its attention. This is generally around three or four times each Season (sports), season. Scoring In Association Football
In games of association football, teams compete to score the most goals during the match. English Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. In association football, the referee is the person responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Laws of the Game during a match. In association football, an assist is a contribution by a player which helps to score a goal. Statistics for assists made by players may be kept officially by the organisers of a competition, or unofficially by, for example, journalists or organisers of fantasy football competitions. Instant replay or action replay is a video reproduction of something that recently occurred which was both shot and broadcast live. The video, having already been shown live, is replayed in order for viewers to see again and analyze what had just taken place. In the game of baseball, the official scorer is a person appointed by the league to record the events on the field, and to send the official scoring record of the game back to the league offices. In addition to recording the events on the field such as the outcome of each plate appearance and the circumstances of any baserunner's advance around the bases, the official scorer is also charged with making judgment calls that do not affect the progress or outcome of the game.
