Dubailand is an entertainment complex being built in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is owned by Tatweer (which belongs to Dubai Holding). When announced in 2003 it was one of the most ambitious leisure developments ever proposed anywhere in the world costing $64.3 billion, but development has been severely impacted by global recession and Dubai's financial crisis. The development was put on hold in 2008 but resumed in mid-2013. Updates in 2013 show that $55 billion has been raised towards the works. Development Dubailand was announced on 23 October 2003. It will have an area of and include 45 "mega projects" and 200 sub projects. To date, there are currently 22 projects under construction. Dubai Butterfly Garden
The Dubai Butterfly Garden ( ar, حديقة الفراشات بدبي) is a garden for butterflies located in the Dubailand area, Al Barsha South 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the world's largest and the region's first indoor butterfly garden. The garden opened in 2015 and has over 15,000 butterflies from 50 species. It includes a butterfly museum, ten climate-controlled domes at temperature of 24 °C, a Koi fish pond in Dome 2, and an educational area. The garden covers an area of 2,600m2. Dubai Miracle Garden
The Dubai Miracle Garden (In Arabic: حديقة الزهور بدبي) is a flower garden located in the district of Dubailand, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The garden was launched on Valentine's Day in 2013. It occupies over , making it the world's largest natural flower garden, featuring over 50 million flowers and 250 million plants. In April 2015, the garden was given the Moselle Award for New Garden Experiences of the year by the Garden Tourism Award 2015. Development The concept of the first miracle garden project was formed under an agreement between Dubailand and the Dubai Properties Group destination. The project development was done under an agreement with Akar Landscaping and Agriculture Company, led by Jordanian businessman Abdel Naser Rahhal. Six Flags Dubailand
Six Flags Dubai was a planned theme park under development for multiple years in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The park was being developed by DXB Entertainments, under license from Six Flags. The park was scheduled to open in November 2011, but Six Flags terminated the agreement in 2010 after Tatweer failed to make a payment owed to Six Flags. It was later revived and scheduled to open in 2019 near Lapita Hotel and Riverland Dubai at Dubai Parks and Resorts. It was to be divided into six themed sections, and contain 27 different attractions, including six roller coasters. On April 25, 2019, DXB Entertainments issued a statement that the project had been cancelled. Legoland Dubai (stylized as LEGOLAND Dubai) is a theme park in Dubai. It opened on October 31, 2016. It is the first Legoland park in the Middle East and was the seventh worldwide.
