Dub Farris Athletic Complex
The Dub Farris Athletic Complex is a sporting complex with the Dub Farris Stadium owned by the Northside ISD located in San Antonio, Texas. The complex is known for its 10,568-seat American football, football & soccer stadium but it is also home to a large natatorium. In 2010, NISD announced a three-year agreement that allowed the UTSA Roadrunners football team to use the stadium for practice. Northside Independent School District is a school district headquartered in Leon Valley, Texas, Leon Valley, Texas. It is the largest school district in the San Antonio area and the fourth largest in the State of Texas. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The UTSA Roadrunners football program represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the sport of American football. The Roadrunners compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. They are coached by Jeff Traylor, who started in 2020. The Roadrunners play their home games at the Alamodome, which has a seating capacity of 65,000 but whose capacity for UTSA games is normally restricted to 36,582. UTSA Roadrunners
The UTSA Roadrunners is a collegiate athletic program that represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The UTSA Roadrunners are also commonly referred to as "UTSA", "Roadrunners", "Runners", “The Meep Meeps”, or simply “The Birds”, and are represented by the mascot Rowdy. The origin of Rowdy dates back to 1977, when the Roadrunner was chosen as the university's mascot by student election. The Roadrunners compete in the NCAA Division I Conference USA in 17 varsity sports. UTSA is San Antonio's only institution that competes in Division I FBS.
