DuPont High School (West Virginia)
DuPont High School was a public high school in Dupont City, West Virginia, about 5 miles from Charleston. Built in 1961 and opened in 1962 it remained the home of the Panthers until closing in 1999 to consolidate with nearby East Bank High forming Riverside High School. Riverside High School (West Virginia)
Riverside High School is the largest high school in Kanawha County, and is located in Belle, West Virginia, United States. History The school opened in 1999 as a result of the consolidation of DuPont High School (AAA) in Dupont City and East Bank High School (AA) in East Bank. Students from both of those former high schools, and from the Cedar Grove and Montgomery areas, attend the school. The school's attendance district runs from the Kanawha-Fayette county line to the Charleston city limits. Academics Riverside High offers a wide variety of courses and electives for grades 9–12. Bobbie Allen Howard, Jr. (born June 14, 1977) is a former professional American football player who played linebacker for three seasons for the Chicago Bears. Howard Grew up in West Virginia, Playing in the same High School as Jason Williams and Randy Moss. He later attended Notre Dame and served as a tri-captain his senior year. He later was signed as a Undrafted Free Agent with the Chicago Bears. Howard is now the defensive coordinator and theology instructor for St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois. Jason Chandler Williams (born November 18, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player who was a point guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for twelve seasons during the late 1990s and 2000s. In 2006, Williams won an NBA championship as the starting point guard for the Miami Heat. Due to his style of play, he was given the nickname "White Chocolate." A native of West Virginia, Williams played college basketball for Marshall University and the University of Florida. The Sacramento Kings selected him in the first round of the 1998 NBA draft.
