is a Japanese dance/rock band. Their second album, ''Commune'', featured guest appearances of Keiko from Super Junky Monkey and eX-Girl. Super Junky Monkey
Super Junky Monkey is an all female Japanese funk metal group. History Beginning Their first release was in 1994: a live recording called ''Cabbage'', originally released as an audio recording, but also released as a video recording later that year. This was quickly followed in 1995 by the studio album '' Screw Up'', which features some of the songs from ''Cabbage'' as well as some new tracks. The band released two full-length albums, both of which were released internationally. Additionally, in Japan, they released several EP's and 3 concert videos. The band's performances of "Skysurfers!!" and "I Call Myself Sliced Ice" were used as the opening and end credits music, respectively, for the second season of the American animated series, ''Skysurfer Strike Force''. eX-Girl is a Japanese female noise rock trio. Overview They claim to hail from the planet Kero Kero. They are described as psychedelic, space rock, jazz fusion, jagged alternating vocal harmonies, sugary synthesiser pop, punk, prog, epic/atmospheric, noise-rock, wavering three-part a cappella, borderline operatic vocals, often in the space of a single song. Live performances are known to include home-made costumes, synchronised robot dancing and frog-related items. Enthusiastic supporters include Mike Patton and Jello Biafra: History eX-Girl was founded in 1997. Its original members were Chihiro, Kirilo and Fuzuki. Dragon Ash
is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996 by Kenji "KJ" Furuya and Sakurai Makoto. They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan. Dragon Ash is a member of Mob Squad, which is an affiliation with the bands Source and Endive. Dragon Ash uses the French fleur-de-lis as their band logo/symbol. History Dragon Ash started out as a punk rock group. Lead singer and guitarist Kenji Furuya, son of actor Ikko Furuya, met drummer Makoto Sakurai when they were junior high students in a Tokyo suburb, and the two started playing together. Though temporarily sidetracked into following in his father's footsteps, Furuya gave up the few acting gigs that he was getting on TV dramas to concentrate on music in high school. (also known as CDTV) is a Japanese late-night music television program, broadcast on TBS since 1993. The program is shown weekly, and features a Japanese music video hit chart countdown, live performances from musicians and music information. It is presented by three CGI-animated hosts. History The show was created after a gap the broadcast of the long-run TBS countdown show The Best Ten (1978–1989). A top 100 music countdown show called (presented by Kuniko Tamada and Masayuki Watanabe) begun airing on TBS networks from October 1992, however received low ratings in its targeted youth market (due to its early airing time, 8pm, and the at average 10pm returning home time of the target audience).
