Druk Pol FC
Drukpol FC, sometimes referred to as Druk Pol FC, was a football club from Thimphu, Bhutan. Until 1996, the team was called Royal Bhutan Police FC. Drukpol FC has won the A-Division championship a record eight times, more than any other team in Bhutan. The team's home ground was Changlimithang Stadium. History 1980s and 1990s Drukpol took part in the first recorded season of league football in Bhutan in 1986, playing under the name Royal Bhutan Police. The league was played on a single round-robin basis and Drukpol finished fourth with four wins and two draws from their nine games. There are no recorded results for any form of competition in Bhutan between 1987 and 1995, so it is not known whether Drukpol competed at all during that period. The Bhutan Football Federation (Dzongkha: འབྲུག་རྐང་རིལ་ཚོགས་སྡེ།) is the governing body of football in Bhutan, controlling Bhutan national football team, Bhutan women's national football team and Bhutan national futsal team. Rigzung Club
Rigzhung Football Club was a football club from Thimphu, Bhutan, based at Changlimithang. Having won the B-Division in 2002, they spent a number of seasons struggling in the A-Division and regularly finished bottom or second from bottom only to gain a reprieve whether through relegation playoffs or because there was no relegation that season. After several years, they were finally sent down to the B-Division, where they were last recorded playing in 2013. The Druk ( bo, འབྲུག, dz, ་) is the "Thunder Dragon" of Tibetan and Bhutanese mythology and a Bhutanese national symbol. A druk appears on the flag of Bhutan, holding jewels to represent wealth. In Dzongkha, Bhutan is called ''Druk Yul'' "Land of Druk", and Bhutanese leaders are called Druk Gyalpo, "Thunder Dragon Kings". AFC President's Cup
The AFC President's Cup was an annual international association football competition between domestic clubs sides run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held between 2005 and 2014. The competition targeted emerging football nations, and was set below the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup competitions. Competition format Between 8 and 12 teams participated in each edition of the competition. From 2005 to 2007, 8 clubs were placed into two groups of 4 teams. The winners and runners up would advance to the semi-final stage. All the matches were held in a single host country. From 2008 to 2010, the tournament was increased to 11 clubs. Passang Tshering (born 16 July 1983) is a Bhutanese former professional footballer and coach. Passang played as a forward for Transport United, Druk Star and Thimphu City. He was also a member of Bhutan national futsal team. In 2007, he won the title of A-Division top-scorer. RIHS FC
RIHS is a football club from Bhutan, based at Changlimithang, who played in the Bhutan A-Division, then the top level of football in Bhutan, but since replaced by a full national league. They spent two seasons in the top flight of Bhutanese football before being relegated following a season that included the record defeat for a football team in Bhutan. History The first recorded instance of RIHS playing in the top flight of Bhutanese football was in 2006. Details are lacking for this season and their final position is not known. The only result that is known is a 4–1 loss to Yeedzin. It is also not known how they came to be in the A-Division for that season.
