Elene Khoshtaria (born November 18, 1979, in Tbilisi) is a Georgian politician and the Member of the Parliament of Georgia since 2016. From 2007–2012 she was the first deputy minister in the State Ministry for Euro-Atlantic Integration of Georgia, she was also a candidate in Tbilisi mayoral elections, 2017. Biography She was born on November 18, 1979. Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations with a degree in International Security. She is a mother of four. In 2002 she worked as an intern in the Moscow Helsinki Group for Human Rights and the Embassy of Georgia in the Russian Federation. Tbilisi City Assembly
The Tbilisi Sakrebulo ( ka, თბილისის საკრებულო, tr) is a representative body in the city government of Tbilisi, Georgia. It is also known in English as the Tbilisi City Council or Tbilisi Assembly. Sakrebulos were established as the legislative branch of local government not only in Tbilisi, but throughout Georgia, by reforms instituted in 1991 as the country declared independence from the Soviet Union. Composition The members of the Sakrebulo are selected through a mixed electoral system. Of the 50 seats, 40 are filled through direct elections in local districts of the city. Vasil Sikharulidze ( ka, ვასილ სიხარულიძე) (born May 30, 1968) is a Georgian diplomat and politician. He worked as a foreign affairs advisor to the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili from August 27, 2009. He had previously served as Ambassador to the United States (2006-2008) and Georgia's Minister of Defence (2008-2009). Born in Tbilisi, then-Soviet Georgia, Sikharulidze graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in 1993 and practiced psychiatry from 1993 to 1995. After a brief tenure as an Executive Director of the Atlantic Council of Georgia, an umbrella organization that brings together Georgian NGOs working on Euro-Atlantic integration issues, Sikharulidze worked for the Parliament of Georgia as a leading specialist on defense and security issues from 1996 to 2000.
