Driver Friendly
Driver Friendly is an American rock band from Austin, Texas, United States. Driver Friendly has toured with such bands as Motion City Soundtrack, Cartel, Relient K, Hellogoodbye, Night Riots, Hit The Lights, TEAM*, as well as Warped Tour. History Early years and early releases (2002–2011) Driver Friendly formed in 2002 while the members were in high school. The band self-released ''Live CD from the Engine Room'' EP on November 30, 2002, and ''Demolicious'' EP on March 16, 2003. The band signed to I Enjoy Records on January 31, 2004, and released their debut album, ''Fly Away'', on March 5, 2004. In 2004 the band relocated to Austin, Texas where they self released two albums (Chase the White Whale and Bury A Dream). ''Not Home Yet'' EP was released on March 7, 2006. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. Warped Tour was conceived by Kevin Lyman as an electric alternative rock festival, but later began focusing on punk rock music. Infrared homing is a passive weapon guidance system which uses the infrared (IR) light emission from a target to track and follow it seamlessly. Missiles which use infrared seeking are often referred to as "heat-seekers" since infrared is radiated strongly by hot bodies. Many objects such as people, vehicle engines and aircraft generate and emit heat and so are especially visible in the infrared wavelengths of light compared to objects in the background. Infrared seekers are passive devices, which, unlike radar, provide no indication that they are tracking a target. That makes them suitable for sneak attacks during visual encounters or over longer ranges when they are used with a forward looking infrared or similar cuing system. ''Unimagined Bridges'' is the fourth studio album by rock band Driver Friendly, released by Hopeless on July 15, 2014. The album was produced by Matt Malpass at Marigolds + Monsters Studio in Atlanta, Georgia with additional recording taking place at Rattle Rock Studios in Canyon Lake, Texas. "Stand So Tall" and "Everything Gold" was released as singles before the album was released; the former featuring Dan "Soupy" Campbell on guest vocals. To support the album, the band toured with Quiet Company, Stickup Kid, Transit, Motion City Soundtrack and Cartel, among others. The album charted in the U.S. at number 33 on the '' Billboard'' Heatseekers chart. Hopeless Records is an American independent record label in Van Nuys, California. History Hopeless Records was founded in 1993 by Louis Posen. Night Riots (sometimes stylized as NIGHT RIOTS or , , NIGHT RIOTS , , ) were an American alternative rock band from San Luis Obispo, California. Formed in 2010, the band consists of Travis Hawley (lead vocals), Nick Fotinakes (guitar), Matt DePauw (guitar), Mikel van Kranenburg (bass), and Rico Rodriguez (drums). History Travis Hawley, Nick Fotinakes, Matt DePauw, Kevin Menesez and Mikel van Kranenburg were raised in Templeton, California, and they all met in middle school. They learned how to play instruments together in high school and decided to form a band. After graduating from high school, the band split for a brief period.
