''Drive'' is a song by American actor and singer Cheyenne Jackson from his album ''I'm Blue, Skies''. Although Jackson has produced theatrical music releases, this was his first non-theatrical single. ''Drive'' was produced by Tawgs Salter, Thomas "Tawgs" Salter and written by Jackson and Stephen Aiello, Stephen "Stevie" Aiello. The song was also featured on Jackson's first-ever music video. Jackson has discussed the meaning of the song: I wanted to write a song about keeping forward momentum in your life, and having the strength to leave a situation that you know in your heart is bad for you. It ended up being melancholy, but ultimately hopeful and optimistic, just like me. I felt like my head was exploding, because not only did I know that this was exactly what I was supposed to be doing, it kind of changed my perspective on everything. Cheyenne David Jackson (born July 12, 1975) is an American actor and singer. His credits include leading roles in Broadway musicals and other stage roles, as well as film and television roles, concert singing, and music recordings. After beginning his acting career in regional theatre in Seattle, Washington, Jackson moved to Manhattan and was an understudy in ''Thoroughly Modern Millie'' (2002) and ''Aida'' (2003). He next originated the role of Matthew in the workshop production of ''Altar Boyz'' (2004) for the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and was replaced by Scott Porter for the Off-Broadway run. Stephen Aiello (born April 30, 1983) is an American songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is best known for touring and recording with American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. He was one of the founding members of Monty Are I, a band he formed in 1998 with some friends.
