Driss Ksikes
Driss Ksikes (born 1968 in Casablanca) is a Moroccan journalist. Career He had been an editor-in-chief of the francophone Tel Quel magazine. In 2006, he left TelQuel to be the editor-in-chief and director of publication of the arabophone and darijophone Nichane magazine. Ksikes wrote two plays ( "Ils" and " Le Saint des Incertains" and published a novel: ''Ma boite noire''. His article "L’image (délicate) des Prophètes" was the subject to several complaints of antisemitism in Belgium and France whereby he accused the Jews to have as religion business and politics. In December 2006, Ksikes and another journalist, Sanaa al-Aji, were prosecuted for "defaming Islam and damaging morality" after the publication of a subject treating the Moroccan Humour. The religious sides of some first time published jokes referring to the Islamic religion, Muhammad and Hassan II, the late king of Morocco. Ali Anouzla
Ali Anouzla ( ar, علي أنوزلا; born in Agadir, Morocco) is a Moroccan journalist, known for his critical articles of King Mohammed VI's rule. Since December 2010 he has been the editor-in-chief of the online media platform Lakome, which he co-founded along with Aboubakr Jamaï. Lakome was most notably behind the uncovering of the ''Daniel Galván scandal'' in which Mohammed VI was found to have pardoned, as a gesture "demonstrating good relations between him and King Juan Carlos I of Spain" a Spanish serial child rapist sentenced to 30 years in Morocco of which he spent only a year and a half. The scandal led to unprecedented spontaneous demonstrations against the Moroccan monarch in early August 2013. On 17 September 2013, Ali Anouzla was arrested in a raid against his home in Rabat, officially for having linked to an '' El Pais'' article which contained a video allegedly posted by AQIM and hosted on the website of the Spanish newspaper. Ali Lmrabet (born 1959) is a Moroccan journalist and a member of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights. Early life Ali came from a modest Berber family, was born in a small village called Adouz near Al-Hoceima in north Morocco. He was schooled at the International Israelite Alliance which sponsored people from underprivileged backgrounds. He then passed his baccalaureate in Kenitra and Rabat. He then headed for France, where he pursued a literature major. Considered by many in Morocco as a progressive journalist, he started as a correspondent to editor-in-chief of '' Hebdo'', which inaugurated an unprecedented era of freedom of speech for the press in Morocco. Previously to his journalistic career, Lmrabet was a diplomat.
