Drew Westervelt
Drew Westervelt (born April 25, 1985 in Bel Air, Maryland) is a former lacrosse player in the National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse. College career Westervelt attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where, as a senior, he was the nation's fifth-leading scorer. Entrepreneurship In April 2014, Westervelt launched a new company ''HEX Performance'' based in Baltimore, Maryland. The company produces "HEX" removes that sweaty smell leftover in performance synthetic fabrics. HEX is now being sold at Wegmans, Whole Foods Market, Harris Teeter, Shoprite, and Canadian Tire. Professional career MLL Westervelt was selected by the Denver Outlaws fourth overall in the 2007 MLL Collegiate Draft. In 2011 he was traded to the Chesapeake Bayhawks, then in 2016 to the New York Lizards. Colorado Mammoth
The Colorado Mammoth are a box lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League. The Mammoth have played at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, since the 2003 season. They are owned by Stan Kroenke, who is also the owner of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Rapids of MLS. The Mammoth franchise previously played as the Baltimore Thunder from 1987 to 1999, the Pittsburgh CrosseFire in 2000, and the Washington Power from 2001 to 2002. Up until the joining of the expansion team San Diego Seals, Colorado was the only non-Canadian team in the Western Division from 2014 to 2018. They have only missed the playoffs once since moving to Colorado. The 2009 National Lacrosse League season, the 23rd in the history of the NLL, began January 3, 2009 in Buffalo, Portland, and Sunrise, Florida, and concluded with the Calgary Roughnecks defeating the New York Titans 12—10 in the Champion's Cup on May 15, 2009 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
