Drew French
Drew C. French (born July 19, 1984) is an American baseball coach who is currently the bullpen coach for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). Coaching career French was the head coach and camp coordinator of the Austin SLAM Baseball program while he was a relief pitcher at Concordia University Texas. He was named a volunteer assistant at Alabama in 2007 and was promoted to the Crimson Tide's director of baseball operations in 2009. He was named the pitching coach at Florida International in 2011, and at Lee University in 2014. French joined the Houston Astros organization in 2016, and served as the pitching coach of the organization's Triple-A affiliate in 2019. Coach (baseball)
In baseball, a number of coaches assist in the smooth functioning of a team. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions. Beyond the manager, more than a half dozen coaches may assist the manager in running the team. Essentially, baseball coaches are analogous to assistant coaches in other sports, as the baseball manager is to the head coach. Seguin, Texas
Seguin ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Guadalupe County, Texas, United States; as of the 2020 census, its population was 29,433. Its economy is primarily supported by a regional hospital, as well as the Schertz-Seguin Local Government Corporation water-utility, that supplies the surrounding Greater San Antonio areas from nearby aquifers as far as Gonzales County.
