Dreem Teem
The Dreem Teem are a British DJ, music production and remixing trio consisting of DJ Spoony, Mikee B, and Timmi Magic. They formed in 1996 through pirate radio, and were instrumental in developing the UK garage sound. They presented radio shows on Kiss 100 (1997-2000) and BBC Radio 1 (2000-2003). Biography The Dreem Teem were formed in 1996 after meeting on the London pirate radio station, London Underground FM. Mikee B had previously been part of the breakbeat hardcore trio Top Buzz. Through London Underground, they became key movers in the then developing UK garage genre, while also running their own record label, DJs for Life. In December 1997, they joined London's Kiss 100, and in January 2000 made the move to the national broadcaster BBC Radio 1. They would win a Music Broadcaster award at the 2001 Sony Radio Awards. Sony Radio Awards
The Radio Academy Awards, started in 1983, were the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. For most of their existence, they were run by ZAFER Associates, but in latter years were brought under the control of The Radio Academy. The awards were generally referred to by the name of their first sponsor, Sony, as The Sony Awards, The Sony Radio Awards or variations. In August 2013, Sony announced the end of its sponsorship agreement with The Radio Academy after 32 years. Consequently, the awards were named simply ''The Radio Academy Awards''. Rebecca Skingley, better known as Colour Girl, is a British singer. She appeared on several house and garage records in the 1990s into the 2000s, and scored several hits on the UK Singles Chart, including a cover of "Can't Get Used to Losing You" and the UK garage anthem "Joyrider". Her debut album, ''Special'', was released in 1999 on 4 Liberty Records. The single "Joyrider" was first released in 1999 and reached a peak of No. 95, but a re-release the following year, retitled "Joyrider (You're Playing with Fire)", charted higher at No. 51. It also reached No. 2 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. 2001's "Mas que Nada" contains samples of the Sérgio Mendes version of " Mas que Nada". Amira Rasheed, or simply known as Amira, is a dance music singer best known for the song "My Desire" which charted three times on the UK Singles Chart, with its highest position at No. 20 in 2001. It also reached No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart for one week in its first release in December 1997, and was also the first number one Dance hit of 1998 after it climbed back to the top of the chart three weeks later in the week ending 3 January 1998. Artful Dodger are a UK garage duo, originally based in the city Southampton, which became famous for its 2-step garage, 2-step hits and inaugurated Craig David's professional musical career with his appearance on their 1999 number-two hit "Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta), Re-Rewind". They scored seven consecutive UK top-20 hit singles from 1999 to 2001.
