Dreamtime Village
Dreamtime Village is an intentional community in West Lima, Wisconsin, United States, whose residents participate in various permaculture, hypermedia, and sustainability projects. Dreamtime was founded in 1990 by Madison artists mIEKAL aND and Lyx Ish.Darlington, Tenaya. "24 Hours in Dreantime Village." ''Isthimus'', August 17, 2001. Xexoxial Endarchy and Xexoxial Editions Xexoxial Endarchy is a not-for profit entity that runs Dreamtime Village that also published poetry chapbooks under the name Xexoxial Editions. Hakim Bey was one of the writers whose work they published. Xeoxial Editions also produced mail art. An intentional community is a voluntary residential community which is designed to have a high degree of social cohesion and teamwork from the start. The members of an intentional community typically hold a common social, political, religious, or spiritual vision, and typically share responsibilities and property. West Lima, Wisconsin
West Lima is an unincorporated community in the Town of Bloom, Richland County, Wisconsin, United States. The community is located at the intersection of County Highway A and County Highway D. History In its heyday West Lima had 700 residents, a teachers' hotel, a brick schoolhouse built in 1920, a post office, a cheese factory, blacksmiths, two milliners, a flour mill, a furniture store, and a hardware store. By the early 1990s its buildings were abandoned and fallen into disrepair. In 1991 several buildings in West Lima were acquired by Xexoxial Endarchy, Ltd., a nonprofit arts and education organization, for use as an intentional community known as Dreamtime Village. Permaculture
Permaculture is an approach to land management and settlement design that adopts arrangements observed in flourishing natural ecosystems. It includes a set of design principles derived using whole-systems thinking. Hypermedia, an extension of the term hypertext, is a nonlinear medium of information that includes graphics, audio, video, plain text and hyperlinks. Peter Lamborn Wilson (October 20, 1945 – May 23, 2022) was an American anarchist author and poet, primarily known for his concept of Temporary Autonomous Zones, short-lived spaces which elude formal structures of control. During the 1970s, Wilson lived in the Middle East, where he explored mysticism and translated Persian texts. Starting from the 1980s he wrote (under the pen name of ''Hakim Bey'') numerous political writings, illustrating his theory of "ontological anarchy". His style of anarchism has drawn criticism for its emphasis on individualism and mysticism, as did some of his writings where he defended pederasty. Intentions are mental states in which the agent commits themselves to a course of action. Having the plan to visit the zoo tomorrow is an example of an intention. The action plan is the ''content'' of the intention while the commitment is the ''attitude'' towards this content.
