Dreamloper
Dreamloper (foaled 26 April 2017) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. She did not race until she was three-years-old when she won two minor races from five starts. In the following year she made steady improvement, winning the Group 3 Valiant Stakes and running third in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes. She progressed again in 2022, taking the Dahlia Stakes, the Prix d'Ispahan and Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. Background Dreamloper is a bay mare with no white markings bred in Ireland by Olivia Hoare. She originally raced in the ownership of Hoare in partnership with Paola Hewins but from her third race she carried the colours of Jason Fill. She was sent into training with Ed Walker at Kingsdown Stables in Upper Lambourn, Berkshire. She was from the fifth crop of foals sired by the Prix du Jockey Club winner Lope de Vega. Prix Du Moulin De Longchamp
The Prix du Moulin de Longchamp is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to horses aged three years or older. It is run at Longchamp over a distance of 1,600 metres (about 1 mile), and it is scheduled to take place each year in September. History The event is named after the Moulin de Longchamp, a windmill located within the grounds of the racecourse. The mill was originally part of an abbey, and its foundation stone was laid by Saint Louis in 1256. Lope De Vega (foaled 19 February 2007) is a retired Irish bred Thoroughbred racehorse and current breeding stallion. 2-year-old Lope De Vega began his racing career at Deauville as a 2 year old on 26 August 2009, where he won by 2½ lengths. He also won his next race at Longchamp on 13 September 2009 before stepping up in class to Group One level for the first time in the Prix Jean Luc Lagadere. Bireme (horse)
Bireme (2 May 1977 – 10 January 2002) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare best known for winning the classic Epsom Oaks in 1980. After winning one of her two starts in 1979, she won the Musidora Stakes on her three-year-old debut before winning the Oaks in record time. Later that summer she broke loose during a training session and sustained career-ending injuries. She was retired to stud with a record of three wins in four races and has had some influence as a broodmare. Background Bireme was a chestnut mare with a white blaze bred by her owner Richard Dunbavin "Dick" Hollingsworth at his Arches Hall Stud in Hertfordshire. She was one of the first crop of foals sired by Grundy, an outstanding racehorse who won The Derby and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 1975.
