Dreaming Of Space
''Dreaming of Space'' (russian: Космос как предчувствие, Kosmos kak predchuvstvie) is a 2005 Russian drama film directed by Alexei Uchitel. Plot The end of the 1950s. Sputnik 1 has already been launched, but there has not yet been a cosmonaut in space. The film's heroes live in a port city on the Kola Peninsula, near the border with Norway. Victor Konkov, nicknamed "Konyok" (Yevgeny Mironov), has always wanted to become someone who can benefit humanity. He worked as a cook, loved a waitress and rode around the city on a bicycle, but at the same time he firmly believed in the great future - for him and the society. Soon in his languid existence a mysterious man with an alien and mysterious name Herman (Eugene Tsyganov) appears. To somehow explain his strange behavior, Herman tells Konyok that across the country there is a secret selection of special people who will be later collected in Kostanay and sent into space. Alexei Uchitel
Aleksei Yefimovich Uchitel (russian: Алексей Ефимович Учитель; born 31 August 1951) is a Russian film director. In 2002, he received the title People's Artist of Russia. Life and career Uchitel was born on 31 August 1951 in Leningrad to the family of documentary filmmaker Yefim Uchitel. In 1975, he graduated from VGIK, worked at the Leningrad studio of documentary films. In 1990, he founded his film studio "Rock". Uchitel's directorial debut was the film ''Gisele's Mania''. In 2000, he received the Nika Award, the Kinotavr Grand Prix and the Crystal Globe nomination for ''His Wife's Diary''. The film was about the last love affair of Ivan Bunin. The Golden Eagle Award (russian: link=no, премия Золотой Орёл) is an award given by the National Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences of Russia to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, directors, actors, and writers. Modelled after the American Golden Globe Awards, the formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in Russia, alongside the Nika Award. The national Russian award is given out in 20 categories each January for motion pictures and TV series produced in Russia during the previous year. The awarding statuette is a silver eagle, originally made from copper with a jade pedestal, and was designed by sculptor Viktor Mitroshin. Syasstroy (russian: Сясьстро́й) is a town in Volkhovsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located near the mouth of the Syas River, at its confluence with the Valgonka, close to Lake Ladoga, east of St. Petersburg.
