Dream School
''Dream School'' is an American reality television series on SundanceTV that premiered on October 7, 2013. The series follows 15 high school dropouts as they are taught by a series of celebrity "teachers", including lawyer and rights activist Gloria Allred, actor David Arquette, author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, conservationist Jeff Corwin, civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, astronaut Mae Jemison, television journalist Soledad O'Brien, financial advisor Suze Orman, filmmaker Oliver Stone, and musician Swizz Beatz. The series is an adaptation of British television show ''Jamie's Dream School'', created by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. It is produced by Oliver and rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Cliff Dorfman (born April 14, 1968) is an American screenwriter, film director and actor best known for his work on HBO's ''Entourage (U.S. TV series), Entourage'' and the 2011 feature film ''Warrior (2011 film), Warrior.'' Dorfman's career began in the 1990s with recurring roles on ''7th Heaven (TV series), 7th Heaven'' and ''Beverly Hills 90210''. David Eisenbach is a historian and an expert on media and politics and a lecturer in the history department at Columbia University. ''Kosher Jesus'' (2012) is a book by the Orthodox Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, focusing on the relationship between Christianity and Judaism. The book examines the rabbinic origins of the teachings of Jesus within the context of Second Temple Judaism in the 1st century and the New Testament, and compares scholarly views on the historical figure of Jesus with the theological ideals expressed by the Jewish writers of early rabbinic literature. The book argues that Jesus was a wise and learned Torah-observant Jewish rabbi. It says he was a beloved member of the Jewish community. At the same time, Jesus is said to have despised the Romans for their cruelty, and fought them courageously. The book states that the Jews had nothing whatsoever to do with the murder of Jesus, but rather that blame for his trial and killing lies with the Romans and Pontius Pilate.
