Since the early 2000s, '' DreamWorks Animation'', an American animation studio, owned by NBCUniversal, has had an involvement in the creation and theming of amusement park rides and attractions. The Meadowlands Sports Complex is a sports complex located in East Rutherford, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. American Dream is a retail and entertainment complex in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. The first and second of four opening stages occurred on October 25, 2019, and on December 5, 2019. The remaining opening stages occurred on October 1, 2020, and thereafter. The project was first proposed in 2003 by the Mills Corporation as the ''Meadowlands Xanadu'', with construction beginning in 2004. Jeffrey Katzenberg
Jeffrey Katzenberg (; born December 21, 1950) is an American filmmaker, animator, and media proprietor. He became well known for his tenure as chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994. A river rapids ride (or river rafting ride) is an amusement ride that simulates whitewater rafting. History The river rapids ride concept was proposed by Bill Crandall (general manager of AstroWorld in Houston) and developed by Intamin. AstroWorld introduced the world's first river rapids ride, Thunder River, in 1980 and popularized a concept which can now be found at most major amusement parks. Despite being an incredibly popular attraction, AstroWorld's Thunder River (being a prototype) was initially plagued by issues that were corrected in the first few seasons of operation. The boat bumpers were re-designed, portions of the wide river channel were narrowed or barricaded to prevent boats from bottle-necking or getting caught in a backflow, and a planned whirlpool effect was scrapped. Beto Carrero World theme park located in Penha, Brazil. This park is part of Santa Catarina's signature amusement parks. It is the largest theme park in Latin America occupying divided into 7 different theme areas. History Beto Carrero World was developed by Brazilian businessman and entertainer Beto Carrero. It opened on December 28, 1991 in Santa Catarina. In 2012, Beto Carrero World announced a joint partnership with DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures which allowed the park to feature characters from both film studios. In 2012, the park bought the former Batman & Robin: The Chiller roller coaster from Six Flags Great Adventure.
