Drake Nugent
Drake Johnathon Nugent (born February 9, 2001) is an American football center. Nugent played for Michigan and Stanford. In 2023, Nugent was first-team All- Big Ten, helping Michigan win a national championship. Early life and high school career Nugent was born in Lone Tree, Colorado, and attended Highlands Ranch High School. He played high school football on both offense and defense and was selected as an All-Colorado player in 2017 and 2018. College career Stanford Nugent played college football for Stanford from 2019 to 2022. He started 24 consecutive games at center for the 2021 and 2022 Stanford Cardinal football teams. He was also selected twice as a Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll player in 2021 and 2022. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. Outland Trophy
The Outland Trophy is awarded to the best college football interior lineman in the United States as adjudged by the Football Writers Association of America. It is named after John H. Outland. One of only a few players ever to be named an All-American at two positions, Outland garnered consensus All-America honors in 1898 as a tackle and consensus honors as a halfback in 1899. The NCAA transfer portal is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) application, database, and compliance tool launched on October 15, 2018, to manage and facilitate the process for student athletes seeking to transfer between member institutions. The transfer portal permits student athletes to place their name in an online database declaring their desire to transfer. Athletes enter the portal by informing their current school of their desire to transfer; the school then has two business days to enter the athlete's name in the database.
