Dragons Of Spring Dawning
''Dragons of Spring Dawning'' is a 1985 fantasy novel by American writers Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. The third book in the ''Dragonlance Chronicles'' series, it continues the events from ''Dragons of Winter Night'' (1985) and sets up the premise of the ''Dragonlance Legends'' trilogy, also written by Weis and Hickman. Originally published in September 1985, the novel has seen multiple reprints with the latest reprint in March 2004. It has also been adapted into a 12-issue comic book series. Plot Book 1 Into the Blood Sea The book begins with Tanis Half-Elven in Flotsam. Kitiara has recently left for Solamnia to lead the Dragonarmies in their failed attack against the High Clerist's Tower, which was depicted in the previous novel and resulted in the death of Sturm Brightblade. Margaret Weis
Margaret Edith Weis (; born March 16, 1948) is an American fantasy and science fiction author, of dozens of novels and short stories. At TSR, Inc., she teamed with Tracy Hickman to create the ''Dragonlance'' role-playing game (RPG) world. She is founding CEO and owner of Sovereign Press, Inc and Margaret Weis Productions, licensing several popular television and movie franchises to make RPG series in addition to their own. In 1999, ''Pyramid'' magazine named Weis one of ''The Millennium's Most Influential Persons'', saying she and Hickman are "basically responsible for the entire gaming fiction genre". In 2002, she was inducted into the Origins Hall of Fame in part for ''Dragonlance''. Early life Margaret Weis was born on March 16, 1948, in Independence, Missouri, where she was raised. Riverwind
Riverwind (also known as ''Riverwind of the Que Shu tribe'' or ''Riverwind of the Que Shu'') is a fictional character appearing in the Dragonlance series of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game supplements and novels, created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and published by TSR (and later by Wizards of the Coast). Riverwind made his first public appearance in the first novel of the original Chronicles Trilogy, ''Dragons of Autumn Twilight'', in 1984. However, the character's proper creation was during a tabletop role-playing game session where Tracy and Laura Hickman, Margaret Weis and Terry Phillips, between others, developed the basic storyline of Dragonlance.
