Dragoljub Avramović
Dragoljub Avramović ( sr-cyr, Драгољуб Аврамовић; born 10 February 1979) is a Serbian professional basketball coach in the Mega Basket youth system. Coaching career Since 2010, Avramović coached youth systems of Belgrade-based clubs Beovuk 72 and Partizan prior he joined Mega Basket in July 2018. Coaching the Mega Basket U18 & U19 selections, Avramović won the Junior ABA League in 2020–21 and 2021–22, as well as the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament in 2021–22. National team coaching career In August 2021, Avramović was the head coach of the Serbia national under-16 team at the 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers, winning the Group C with a 5–0 record. In December 2021, the Basketball Federation of Serbia named Avramović as their new head coach for the Serbia U17 team in 2022. Junior ABA League
The Junior ABA League, officially known as the U19 ABA League Championship, is a regional boy's youth age basketball tournament that is contested between the youth selections of basketball clubs from the ABA League. It is run by the ABA League JTD. It is a regional competition between men's teams from six countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia. History The ABA League Assembly, held on July 24, 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia, decided to organize the Junior League with a desire to strengthen its position as the main power for development of basketball in the region. Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament
The Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament is an international boy's youth age basketball tournament that is contested between the best basketball clubs in Europe in the Under-18 age category. The tournament is organized by Euroleague Basketball, and is sponsored by Adidas. The tournament's Final Four takes place during the senior men's EuroLeague Final Four event. The tournaments's Final Four also features a slam dunk contest and 3 point shootout contest. History The first Next Generation Tournament Final Four was held in 2003, in Barcelona, Spain. The 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers were international basketball competitions which took place from 16 to 21 August 2021, replacing the cancelled 2021 FIBA U16 European Championship. Top two teams from groups A, B and C qualified for the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup. The 2021–22 Junior ABA League is the fifth season of the Junior ABA League with twelve men's under-19 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player.
