Dragan Adžić
Dragan Adžić (born 13 December 1969) is a Montenegrin handball coach of Krim and the Slovenia women's team. He led Montenegro at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil. With the team, he won silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Berane
Berane ( cyrl, Беране) is one of the largest towns of northeastern Montenegro and a former administrative centre of the Ivangrad District. The town is located on the Lim river. From 1949 to 1992, it was named Ivangrad ( cyrl, Иванград) in honour to people's hero Ivan Milutinović. The town has a population of over 11,000, whereas its municipality area reaches nearly 30,000 people, making it one of the largest centres of Polimlje area. During the medieval period the land of Berane was known as Budimlja (Будимља). It was of great holistic, political and economic importance in the medieval Serbian state and its rulers. Until 1455, when Turks took the city, Budimlja was part of the wider historical region of Raška, within the Medieval Serbia. 2012 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2012 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Serbia from 4 to 16 December. Originally the tournament was scheduled to be held in the Netherlands but on 4 June 2012 the Dutch Handball Federation withdrew from the organization. Subsequently, the European Handball Federation (EHF) launched a new bidding process and eventually selected Serbia as the new host on 18 June 2012. Montenegro captured their first title by defeating defending champion Norway 34–31 in the final. Host selection Initially on its meeting on 27 September 2008 the EHF awarded the championship to the Netherlands, beating the bids of Germany and Serbia. The Montenegrin Women's Handball Cup ( Montenegrin: Crnogorski rukometni kup za žene) is a national women's team handball competition in Montenegro operated by the Handball Federation of Montenegro. It has been held annually since Montenegrin independence in 2006. Montenegrin First League Of Women's Handball
The Montenegrin First League of Women's Handball is the top women's team handball league in Montenegro. It is organised by the Handball Federation of Montenegro. History Before independence Since 2006, Montenegrin women's handball clubs played in the competitions of SFR Yugoslavia, FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. Most successful was ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica, who gained 18 champion titles in Yugoslav championship, with three European trophies (1985, 1986, 2006). Budućnost was most successful Yugoslav handball club, and except them, in the Yugoslav First League often played ŽRK Danilovgrad. It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating. The handball tournaments at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 28 July to 12 August in the Olympic Park.
