Dr. Luigi
''Dr. Luigi'' is a 2013 puzzle video game developed by Arika and Nintendo SPD, and published by Nintendo for the Wii U console. It is the sixth game in the ''Dr. Mario'' series and is part of the larger ''Mario'' franchise. The player must clear a field of invading viruses using pill capsules to eliminate them, in a tile-matching fashion. The game offers four modes: "Operation L", which utilizes L-shaped pills; "Virus Buster", using the Wii U GamePad and touchscreen; "Retro Remedy" with standard ''Dr. Mario'' gameplay; and local and online multiplayer options. ''Dr. Luigi'' was created for the Year of Luigi, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Luigi since his inception in 1983. Arika
is a Japanese video game developer and publisher. It was formed in 1995 by former Capcom employees, originally as ARMtech K.K, later named Arika. The name of the company is the reverse of the name of the company's founder, Akira Nishitani, who along with Akira Yasuda, created ''Street Fighter II''. Arika's first game was ''Street Fighter EX''. It was successful and was followed up with two updates (''Street Fighter EX +'' and ''EX + α''), and it's two sequels ''Street Fighter EX2'' and ''Street Fighter EX3''. Luigi
is a fictional character featured in video games and related media released by Nintendo. Created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the younger fraternal twin brother and sidekick of Mario, Nintendo's mascot.
