The eighth season of ''American Dad!'' aired on Fox from September 25, 2011, to May 13, 2012. On February 23, 2011, it was announced that the series had been renewed for an eighth production cycle. The 2011 Super Outbreak was the largest, costliest, and one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks ever recorded, taking place in the Southern, Midwestern, and Northeastern United States from April 25–28, 2011, leaving catastrophic destruction in its wake.
