Dr. Kildare's Crisis
''Dr. Kildare's Crisis'' is a 1940 drama film directed by Harold S. Bucquet, starring Lew Ayres, Lionel Barrymore and Laraine Day. Mary Lamont's (Laraine Day) financier brother Douglas Lamont (Robert Young (actor), Robert Young) is subject to seizures, and it seems that he is suffering from hereditary epilepsy. It is the sixth in the MGM series of nine films starring Ayres as Dr. Kildare, made from 1938 - 1942. Plot summary As young doctor James Kildare (Lew Ayres) and his fiancée, nurse Mary Lamont (Laraine Day), make plans for their wedding day, Mary's brother Douglas (Robert Young (actor), Robert Young) arrives for a visit. Walter Kingsford
Walter Kingsford (born Walter Pearce; 20 September 1882 – 7 February 1958) was an English stage, film and television actor. Early years Kingsford was born in Redhill, Surrey, England. Career Kingsford began his acting career on the London stage. He also had a long Broadway career, appearing in plays from the 1912 original American production of George Bernard Shaw's '' Fanny's First Play'' to 1944's ''Song of Norway''. In the early 1920s, Kingford was active with the Henry Jewett Players. Kingsford moved to Hollywood, California, for a prolific film career in supporting parts. On screen, he specialised in portraying authority figures such as noblemen, heads of state, doctors, police inspectors and lawyers. Frank Orth (February 21, 1880 – March 17, 1962) was an American actor born in Philadelphia. He is probably best remembered for his portrayal of Inspector Faraday in the 1951-1953 television series '' Boston Blackie''.
