"Downfall" is a song by American alternative metal band Trust Company. It is the lead single from their 2002 debut album ''The Lonely Position of Neutral''. "Downfall" peaked at No. 6 on both the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks charts. It is one of the band's most well-known songs. Style "This song pretty much sums up who we are as far as music, it mixes heavy riffs with softer vocals which can sometimes also get heavy to match the riffs," said an unidentified band member in an email interview in 2002. Music video The video features frontman Kevin Palmer walking down a street, leaving everything he walks past being blown by a massive gust of wind. It found significant airplay on MTV2. Trust Company (also typeset as TRUSTcompany and TRUST*CO) is an American alternative metal band from Prattville, Alabama, Prattville, Alabama, United States. Formed in 1997 by lead vocalist Kevin Palmer and drummer Jason Singleton. Trust Company has sold over 1 million albums worldwide. History Formation and ''The Lonely Position of Neutral'' (1997–2002) Formed in 1997, Trust Company came together through singing, vocalist/guitarist Kevin Palmer and drummer Jason Singleton. Originally called 41Down, the band then recruited bassist Josh Moates and guitarist James Fukai. After building a local fan-base and releasing a self-titled album as well as a couple demos, the band went on to sign a major label deal with Geffen Records. The band then changed their name to Trust Company to avoid confusion with the Canadians, Canadian band Sum 41. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. The 2003 Royal Rumble was the 16th annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
