Nancy Maryanne Dow (July 22, 1936 – May 25, 2016) was an American actress who appeared in a small number of films and television shows. She was married to actor John Aniston with whom she had a daughter, Jennifer Aniston. Early life Dow was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, one of six daughters of Louise (married and maiden names, née Grieco) and Gordon McLean Dow. Sterling Dow (19 November 1903, Portland, Maine – 9 January 1995, Cambridge, Massachusetts) was an American classical archaeologist, epigrapher, and professor of archaeology at Harvard University. (with Dow's publication list) After secondary education at Phillips Exeter Academy, Dow matriculated in 1921 at Harvard University (This article has the misspelling "Burt Hodge Hill" instead of the correct "Bert Hodge Hill".) and graduated there in 1925 with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. Ryan Dow (born 7 June 1991) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Scottish Championship club Arbroath. A product of the Dundee United youth system, he turned professional in 2007. After making his first team debut in 2011, he went on to become a first team regular after a spell on loan to Forfar Athletic. Paula T. Dow (born 1955) served as the 58th Attorney General of New Jersey, appointed by incoming Governor Chris Christie. Her nomination to a full term was confirmed by the New Jersey Senate in February 2010. She is the first African-American woman to be attorney general in state history. On December 12, 2011, Christie announced that Dow would temporarily become the First Deputy General Counsel for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and that he had nominated Jeffrey S. Neal Dow (March 20, 1804 – October 2, 1897) was an American Prohibition advocate and politician. Nicknamed the "Napoleon of Temperance" and the "Father of Prohibition", Dow was born to a Quaker family in Portland, Maine. From a young age, he believed alcohol to be the cause of many of society's problems and wanted to ban it through legislation. In 1850, Dow was elected president of the Maine Temperance Union, and the next year he was elected mayor of Portland. Soon after, largely due to Dow's efforts, the state legislature banned the sale and production of alcohol in what became known as the Maine law. Serving twice as mayor of Portland, Dow enforced the law with vigor and called for increasingly harsh penalties for violators. In 1855, his opponents rioted and he ordered the state militia to fire on the crowd. Mary Edna Hill Gray Dow (also known as, Mary E. H. G. Dow; December 15, 1848 – August 24, 1914) was an American financier, school principal, and correspondent. Dow was the president of the Dover, New Hampshire, horse car railroad, and was the first woman in the world to hold such a position. She held the controlling stock of the road, which she bought up when she found that a syndicate of Boston men was trying to buy it. Prior to this position, she was a teacher of French and German in a seminary, and a journalist. She also made considerable money through real estate transactions. Arthur Wesley Dow (1857 – December 13, 1922) was an American painter, printmaker, photographer and an arts educator. Early life Arthur Wesley Dow was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 1857. Dow received his first art training in 1880 from Anna K. Freeland of Worcester, Massachusetts. The following year, Dow continued his studies in Boston with James M. Stone, a former student of Frank Duveneck and Gustave Bouguereau.
