Douglas Ivester
Douglas Ivester (born 1947) is an American businessman. He served as the chairman and chief executive officer of The Coca-Cola Company from 1997 to 2000. Early life Melvin Douglas Ivester was born in 1947 in New Holland, Georgia. He attended New Holland Elementary School, where he met Kay Grindle in the third grade. He grew up to marry her. He attended North Hall High School and went on to the University of Georgia, where he earned a degree in accounting, graduating with honors in 1969. Career Ivester began his career with the accounting firm of Ernst and Ernst. In 1979, Ivester joined Coca-Cola as assistant controller and director of corporate auditing, and in 1981 he became the youngest vice president in the company's history. Two years later he was elected senior vice president of finance, and in 1985 he was elected CFO at the age of 37. New Holland, Georgia
New Holland is an unincorporated community in Hall County, Georgia, United States. New Holland was constructed by the Pacolet Manufacturing Company in the 1890s and consisted of several hundred homes for workers in the Pacolet Cotton Mill. A central feature was New Holland Springs, which purportedly had health-giving properties. The village has a population of approximately 600. The New Holland mill is currently owned and operated by Milliken, Inc. Douglas Neville Daft (born 20 March 1943 in Cessnock, New South Wales) is an Australian businessman. He graduated from the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Mathematics. The Coca-Cola Company is an American multinational beverage corporation founded in 1892, best known as the producer of Coca-Cola. The Coca-Cola Company also manufactures, sells, and markets other non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups, and alcoholic beverages. Early life Goizueta was born on November 18, 1931, in Havana, Cuba. He was the only son of Críspulo Goizueta and Aída Cantera. His grandparents on both sides of his family had emigrated from Spain to Cuba in the late 19th century. His mother's father, Marcelo Cantera, owned a portion of a profitable, local sugar mill.
