Douglas James Wilson (born 1953) is a conservative Calvinism, Reformed and evangelicalism, evangelical theology, theologian, pastor at Christ Church (Moscow, Idaho), Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, faculty member at New Saint Andrews College, and author and speaker. Wilson is known for his controversial work ''Southern Slavery, As It Was'', which he coauthored with J. Steven Wilkins, Steve Wilkins. Doug Wilson is an American interior designer. He is best known for appearing as an interior designer on ''Trading Spaces''. He is the former host of ''Moving Up'', which also airs on TLC. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. On the show, Wilson is known for his flamboyant and confrontational manner and for sometimes completely disregarding the homeowner's wishes. On one occasion, Wilson redesigned a bedroom to resemble a prison cell, complete with a mural depicting prisoners. On several occasions, his designs have reduced the homeowners to tears. Wilson has said that he is there to make an interesting, entertaining show, and the homeowner's wishes are secondary. In private practice, Wilson has collaborated with such interior designers as Albert Hadley and Alexa Hampton. Group Captain Douglas Ernest Lancelot "Del" Wilson (1 December 1898 – 2 August 1950) was a senior officer of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) during World War II. During early 1942, as an acting Air Commodore, Wilson was part of the short-lived Allied supreme command for South East Asia and the South West Pacific, the American-British-Dutch-Australian Command (ABDACOM). Afterwards, he was attached to the Royal Air Force (RAF) in North West Europe, and spent more than a year as a prisoner of war (POW) in Nazi Germany. Douglas John Wilson (22 June 190330 November 1980) was an eminent Anglican bishop in the mid-20th century. Born into an ecclesiastical family – his father was J. K. Wilson, sometime canon, and Vicar of Bromley – he was educated at Haileybury and Queens' College, Cambridge. Ordained in 1928 he was successively a curate at Dartford, Vicar of Kingswinford and Archdeacon of Central America before his elevation to the episcopate as an assistant bishop of British Honduras (1938–1944). He returned to England and was an assistant bishop of Southwell, 1944–1945. He became diocesan bishop of British Honduras in 1945 before translation to Trinidad in 1950. He returned to England again as a canon residentiary of Wells Cathedral in 1956. As canon, he served as treasurer; he was also commissioned assistant bishop of Bath and Wells in 1956. Douglas Wilson (1950–1992) was a Canadian gay activist, graduate student, publisher and writer born in Saskatchewan. In 1975, he gained prominence in a fight for gay rights with the University of Saskatchewan. The university's dean of the College of Education refused to allow Wilson into the school system to supervise practice teachers because of his public involvement with the gay liberation movement. Wilson was vice-president of the Gay Community Centre Saskatoon and had been trying to start a gay academic union at the university. The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission failed to protect Wilson and his case was unsuccessful. Wilson spent most of his life fighting for human rights issues, activism and AIDS organizations. In 1977 he founded Stubblejumper Press, a small publishing house dedicated to works by Canadian lesbians and gay men. Douglas Frederick Wilson (born July 5, 1957) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, who later served as general manager of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League. Playing career After a junior hockey career for the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League, Wilson was drafted in the first round, sixth overall, in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft. He then played 14 seasons with the Chicago Black Hawks and two years for the San Jose Sharks in the National Hockey League. Douglas Wilson (born 3 March 1994) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Portadown in the NIFL Championship. Wilson began his professional career in England when he was scouted by Hull City, however his full debut came whilst on loan at Grimsby Town in 2013. He has since returned home and has forged a career with both Dungannon Swifts and Ballymena United. He is a former Northern Ireland U21 international.
