Jerry Doucette
Jerry Victor Doucette (9 September 1951 – 18 April 2022) was a Canadian guitarist and singer-songwriter. He was noted for his hit single "Mama Let Him Play", which made the ''Billboard'' Top 100. His band, Doucette, won the Juno Award for Most Promising Group of the Year in 1979. Early life Doucette was born in Montreal on 9 September 1951. His family relocated to Hamilton, Ontario, when he was four. Two years later, he started playing the guitar after his father purchased one for him. Doucette joined numerous bands prior to his solo career, starting with The Reefers at the age of 11. He later migrated to Toronto by the time he was twenty years old, and played in Buxton Kastle and the final incarnation of Brutus. Career Doucette moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1972 and joined the Seeds of Time, and worked with Lindsay Mitchell and Rocket Norton, both of whom later joined Prism, and Alexis Radlin. Jeff Doucette
Jeffrey Doucette (born November 25, 1947) is an American character actor. Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the second of eight children born to Elizabeth (Betty Andres) and William (Bill) Doucette. Jeffrey attended Marquette University High School and Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, where he became the first theater major and helped build the theater and theater program. He studied theater and graduated from Northern Illinois University. In 1974, Doucette moved to Chicago and joined the Second City Touring Company, where he met his future comedy partner, Ernst Emling, and formed the comedy duo Jeff and Ernst. Within two months, the pair were signed by the William Morris Agency and toured the country with folk singer Bob Gibson. Sarah Doucette
Sarah Doucette ( ) is a Canadian politician, who served on Toronto City Council from 2010 to 2018. In the 2010 city council election, Doucette defeated Bill Saundercook in Ward 13, Parkdale–High Park. Doucette was born in Winchester, Hampshire but grew up on the Isle of Wight, in the United Kingdom in the 1960s. Doucette came to Canada in 1980. She and her husband have two children. They have lived in the Swansea neighbourhood of Toronto for fifteen years. Doucette worked at the Swansea Town Hall since 2004 and in 2008, she became executive assistant to the executive director. To run for city council she had to take a leave of absence from her job. The 2010 election race was her first campaign. She was re-elected in 2014, but decided not to run in the 2018 election. Eddie Doucette (born June 15, 1940) is a former television and radio sportscaster and currently the president of Doucette Promotions Inc. Doucette was the original radio play-by-play voice of the Milwaukee Bucks, where he broadcast games for 16 years. During his career he also called games for various other NBA teams (including the Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers), for Major League Baseball teams (including the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers), and for the WFL's Chicago Fire; and he has done various other sports including NFL football, college football, college basketball, PGA Tour golf, boxing, bowling and track and field events. Don Doucette (born February 23, 1952) is an American former college basketball coach. During his first season coaching the UMass Lowell River Hawks, Doucette won 15 games for the first winning season in program history. He led the River Hawks to the 1988 NCAA Division II national championship. Following the season, he was hired to coach the UNC Asheville Bulldogs. Allan E. Doucette (c. 1872 – January 8, 1901) was an All-American football player. He played at the center position for Harvard University and was selected for the 1897 College Football All-America Team. Doucette graduated from Harvard as an undergraduate in 1895.
