Noboru Nakamura
was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Biography After graduating from Tokyo Imperial University in 1936, Nakamura joined the Shochiku film studios, working as an assistant director for Torajirō Saitō and Yasujirō Shimazu. He debuted as director in 1941 with ''Life and Rhythm'', and finally received recognition with his 1951 film ''Home Sweet Home''. His most noted works include the Yasunari Kawabata adaptation ''Twin Sisters of Kyoto'' (1963), ''The Kii River'' (1966) and ''Portrait of Chieko'' (1968). Both ''Twin Sisters of Kyoto'' and ''Portrait of Chieko'' were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film His 1967 film ''Lost Spring'' was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival. Keiji Sada
is the stage name for a Japanese cinema actor active from the late-1940s to the early 1960s. His real name was Kanichi Nakai. He won the award for best actor at the 7th Blue Ribbon Awards for and . He was the father of the actor Kiichi Nakai and actress Kie Nakai. Biography Sada was born in Shimogyō-ku, Kyoto, to a merchant class family. After graduating from the 2nd Kyoto Municipal Commercial School, he entered the School of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University in Tokyo. While a student, he roomed at a boarding house owned by the actor Shuji Sano, and on graduation was offered a position at Shochiku Studios in Kanagawa. He also was given his stage name by Shugi Sada. was a Japanese actress. She appeared in more than 140 films between 1935 and 1985. Her brothers were the actors Daisuke Katō and Kunitarō Sawamura. Her autobiography, ''My Asakusa'', has been translated into English. In 1942, Yamamura and Isao Yamagata formed the ''Bunkaza Theatre Company''. He began his career as a screen actor in 1946 and appeared in more than 110 films between 1947 and 1991.
