The club's greatest success has been promotion to the American football Bundesliga, now the German Football League, in 1980 and 1984 where it played for 10 seasons until 1993. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end.
