Doran Grant
Doran Grant (born November 30, 1992) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at Ohio State. High school career Grant attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. During his career he had 203 tackles and six interceptions on defense and 88 receptions for 1,115 yards and 25 touchdowns on offense. Grant was a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and was ranked as the No. 3 cornerback in his class. In track & field, Grant competed as both a hurdler and a sprinter. In 2010 Grant won the state title in the 60m hurdles indoors, and the 110m hurdles outdoors. He had personal-bests of 11.38 in the 100m, 23.4 in the 200m, 8.05 in the 60m hurdles and 14.22 in the 110m hurdles. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. 2019 AAF Season
The 2019 AAF season was the only season in the history of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), which began on February 9, 2019. A ten-week regular season was scheduled for each of the league's eight teams. On April 2, multiple sources indicated that Thomas Dundon, controlling owner of the AAF, had followed through on threats made in the previous week and suspended the AAF's operations, against the will of its founders. By the end of the week, the AAF front office had confirmed the suspension of operations and allowed players to opt-out of their contracts to sign with other leagues. The league filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on April 17, 2019. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise. The 2015 NFL Draft was the 80th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players.
