Dora Gález
Dora Gález (1903–2002) was a pioneering Argentine actress and vedette. She was one of the first stars of the Maipo Theater, and given the title of the "nightingale of the house". Other early co-stars with whom she worked were Carmen Lamas, Gloria Guzmán and Tita Merello. In 1924, she was in the cast of Roberto L. Cayol's Revue ''¿Quién dijo miedo?'' which featured music by Arturo De Bassi along with Iris Marga, César Fiaschi, Carmen Lamas, and the debut performance of Tita Merello. Jaime Moreno (footballer, Born 1974)
Jaime Moreno Morales (born 19 January 1974) is a Bolivian former professional footballer now serving as Youth Academy Technical Training Coach for D.C. United in Major League Soccer, and as the head coach of D.C. United's U-23 side. Moreno began his career at Club Blooming and then played for Colombia's Independiente Santa Fe before spending two seasons at the English club Middlesbrough. The rest of his career was spent at D.C. United apart from one season at the New York MetroStars in 2003, and he was the all-time leading scorer in Major League Soccer at the time of his retirement in 2010. On 22 August 2007, in a match against the New York Red Bulls, he scored his 109th MLS goal, surpassing the previous league record set by former Dallas Burn and Real Salt Lake forward Jason Kreis. A vedette is the main female artist of a show derived from cabaret and its subcategories of revue, vaudeville, music hall or burlesque. The purpose of the vedette is to entertain and captivate the public. The vedette has to know how to sing, dance and act on stage. Particularly accomplished artistes are considered ''super vedettes'' or ''first vedettes''. Vedettes often appear alongside groups of dancers, flashy and revealing costumes, magicians, comedians, jugglers, or even performing animals. Vedettes specializing in burlesque generally do striptease and may also perform nude on stage. In the 20th century, vedette shows were successful in the cabarets, theaters and nightclubs of countries such as Spain, France, Argentina and Mexico.
