Doon GAA
Doon GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, founded in 1888. It is based in the village of Doon in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is part of the East Division of the Limerick GAA and has a tremendous record at underage level, but has yet to win a County Senior Hurling Championship. The club only plays hurling, but footballers in the parish play with neighbouring Oola. The manager is Austin Buckley. Location The club is located in the parish of Doon, mostly in County Limerick but also containing a few townlands in County Tipperary; these can play with the other club in the parish, Glengar, which is affiliated to the Tipperary GAA County Board. As Oola is only a football club, hurlers from the parish play with Doon. The club is roughly 30 km east of Limerick City. Willie Moore (Limerick Hurler)
William Moore (born 1950) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Limerick senior hurling team. Moore made his first appearance for the team during the 1971 championship and became a regular player over the next few seasons. During that time he won one All-Ireland winners' medal and back-to-back Munster winners' medals. At club level Moore enjoyed a lengthy career with Doon, however, he ended his career without claiming a county club championship winners' medal. Playing career Club Moore played his club hurling with his local Doon club. Inter-county Moore first came to prominence as a member of the Limerick senior inter-county team in the early 1970s. Pat Ryan (Limerick Hurler)
Patrick Ryan (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays as a Full Forward for club side Doon and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Playing career University During his studies at the University of Limerick, Ryan was selected for the college's senior hurling team. On 24 February 2018, he won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal following UL's 2-21 to 2-15 defeat of Dublin City University in the final. Barry Murphy (born 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-forward for club side Doon and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Richard English (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-back for club side Doon and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Adare GAA
Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. In 2003, they narrowly missed out on winning three county titles in a row after losing out to Patrickswell GAA, Patrickswell in the final.
