Doomsday Rock
''Doomsday Rock'' is a 1997 made-for-TV science fiction film about an asteroid on a collision course with Earth. The film premiered on The Family Channel on August 24, 1997. Plot An astronomer named Dr. Karl Sorenson believes that an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth, but few other scientists believe him. Desperate, he leads a group of militant followers to take over a nuclear missile silo in order to use its missiles to destroy the asteroid. Michael Norell
Michael Alden Norell (born October 4, 1937 in Wallace, Idaho) is an American screenwriter, actor, and executive producer who starred as Captain Henry "Hank" Stanley in the Jack Webb-produced television series ''Emergency!'' from 1972 to 1978. Norell was born in Wallace, Idaho. His family moved to follow his father who was in the Army, and who ultimately retired with the rank of Brigadier General. His father was sent to Korea during the war. The family lived in Tokyo, Japan. Norell returned to the States after the war and attended Falls Church High School in Virginia where he acted in several school plays. He attended college at Washington and Lee University where he majored in journalism. After graduating college Norell entered the Army where he spent the next five years, leaving with the rank of captain. After his stint in the Army he went to work for the ''Richmond Times-Dispatch''. Manoj Sood (born May 5, 1962) is a Canadian film and television actor. Life and career Manoj Sood was born in Mombasa, Kenya, to Indian Hindu parents, Dr. B.K. Sood and Narindar Sood. He immigrated with his family to Canada in 1964, growing up in Calgary before studying film at St. Michaels University School in Victoria, British Columbia. Sood entered the entertainment world in 1994, landing a supporting role in an American movie the week after his first audition. His only acting experience until the role had been from his acting classes. Since then, Sood has been a regular performer in television and feature film productions. Rick Ravanello (born 24 October 1967) is a Canadian actor and ex-bodybuilder who has appeared in several television series and movies. Gary Jones (born 4 January 1958) is a British-born Canadian actor, who has worked on television and on stage both in his native United Kingdom and Canada. He is known for his recurring role as CM Sgt. Walter Harriman in ''Stargate SG-1'' and ''Stargate Atlantis''.
