Donté Curry
Donté Lamont Curry (born July 22, 1978) is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football at Morris Brown College. Cousin of Lewis Beasley, video content creator and former owner and CEO of the online music social media community Flench.com. Curry has played for the Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, and the Detroit Lions. Early years Curry attended Savannah High School in Savannah, Georgia. In football, he was a three-year letterman and as a senior, he won All-State honors as a defensive end. College career Curry played college football at Morris Brown where he played in 21 games recording 171 tackles and 26 sacks. He majored in therapeutic recreation. The 2008 Carolina Panthers season was the franchise's 14th season in the National Football League. They entered the season and improved on their 7–9 record from 2007, winning the NFC South for the first time since 2003 and earning their first playoff berth since 2005. 2007 Detroit Lions Season
The 2007 Detroit Lions season was the 78th season for the team in the National Football League. After achieving a 6–2 record at the halfway mark, the Lions lost seven of their last eight games. They finished with a 7–9 record for their seventh consecutive losing season. After the 6–2 start, the Lions would go 5–47 in their next 52 games, including a 19-game losing streak between Week 17 of 2007 and Week 2 of 2009, which resulted in the first-ever winless 16-game season in 2008. 2005 Detroit Lions Season
The 2005 season was the Detroit Lions' 76th in the National Football League (NFL) and their 82nd since moving to Detroit and becoming the Lions. The Lions failed to improve on their 6–10 record in 2004. The Lions began their 2005 season with a 17–3 win over the rival Packers. However, the next week, the Lions were throttled, 38–6, by the Bears in Chicago. By week 10, the Lions had a 4–5 record after they had defeated the Arizona Cardinals 29–21 at home. The Detroit Lions season was the franchise's 75th season in the National Football League. The team began attempting to improve on their 5–11 record from 2003, they improved to 6–10 that season but, the Lions couldn't make the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season. In week 1, the Lions defeated the Chicago Bears in Chicago, 20–16, to snap a 24-game road losing streak, which was the longest road losing streak in franchise history.
