Donovan Simmonds
Donovan Ashton Simmonds (born 12 October 1988 in Walthamstow) is an English footballer who last played for Kingstonian. He plays as a striker. Simmonds began his youth career with London side Charlton Athletic, before moving to Coventry City where he failed to make any appearances. He spent two spells on loan with Gillingham and in the Scottish Premier League with Kilmarnock, before being released in 2009. He spent a short spell with Maltese club Floriana, before returning to the United Kingdom to sign for Greenock Morton in the Scottish Football League First Division. Simmonds signed for Conference North club Nuneaton Town in September 2010, and for Dover Athletic two months later. He later signed for Chelmsford City in September 2012. Kingstonian Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, southwest London which currently plays in the Isthmian League Premier Division. The club was founded in 1885 by YMCA, named Kingston & Surbiton YMCA, and began competing properly in 1893 in the Surrey Junior Cup. There was a split before the start of the 1908–1909 season which damaged the club, the two clubs were named Old Kingstonians and Kingston upon Thames A.F.C. After period of quiet during World War I, the two clubs re-united and joined the Athenian League in 1919, named Kingstonian. The Greenock Telegraph is a local daily newspaper serving Inverclyde (the council area containing the towns of Gourock, Greenock and Port Glasgow), Scotland. Founded in 1857, it was the first halfpenny daily newspaper in Britain. It was for a time Greenock Telegraph and Clyde Shipping Gazette, owing to the massive amount of maritime traffic moving in and out of Greenock's harbours. This information is still published, but only as a column entry. Originally based in Charles Street, Greenock, the printing works were bombed during the Greenock Blitz in May 1941. However the printers worked on to produce emergency editions, despite sustaining multiple cuts from the shattered glass lodged in the presses. Hamrun (; ) is a town in the Southern Region of Malta, with a population of 9,244 as of March 2014. The people The townspeople are traditionally known as ''Tas-Sikkina'' (literally meaning 'of the knife' or 'those who carry a knife') or as ''Ta' Werwer'' (which literally means 'those who scare' or more colloquially, 'the scary ones'). This appellation could stem from the fact that a considerable number of used to work as stevedores on the docks and thus carried a knife at all times. Another theory was that the community of Sicilians who settled here illegally in the 16th century danced a traditional dance which involved the wielding of small stilettos which they carried in their socks, waving them in the air and back to their sheaths. Iain Dowie (born 9 January 1965) is a football manager, former professional footballer and sports television pundit. The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division.
