Donkeyboy (occasionally stylised as donkeyboy) is a synthpop band from Drammen, Norway, formed in 2005. The band consists of Cato Sundberg (vocals, rhythm guitar), Kent Sundberg (synth, vocals), Peter Michelsen (guitar, backing vocals) and Thomas Drabløs (drums) History Donkeyboy were signed to Warner Music after an employee came across their music on MySpace. Their debut single, " Ambitions" was released on 26 March 2009 and was put into heavy rotation by NRK P3. The song's chorus is built around a bassline similar to those used on Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and some of Madonna's 1980s songs. The song features guest vocals by Linnea Dale. "Ambitions" debuted on the Norwegian singles chart at number seven on 6 April 2009, and reached the number one spot on 29 June, after 13 weeks on the charts. It was released as their debut single in 2009 and was a number-one hit in the VG-lista, Norwegian Singles Chart. ''Caught in a Life'' is Norwegian band Donkeyboy's debut album from October 2009. It was produced by Simen M Eriksrud and Espen Berg at Livingroom Studios, Oslo. It topped the Norwegian Albums Chart in the winter of 2009. It was released on 19 October 2009. The album has produced for the band two massive #1 hit singles on the Norwegian Singles Chart, "Ambitions" that stayed on top of the Norwegian charts for 13 weeks, followed by "Sometimes" that stayed on the top of the same charts for another 8 weeks, both in 2009. "Sometimes" is a song by Norwegian band Donkeyboy, released as the second single from their debut album, ''Caught in a Life''. It is their second-most-successful single, after " Ambitions". "Sometimes" stayed at top of the Norwegian Singles Chart for a total of eight weeks in 2009. Chart performance "Sometimes" debuted at number seven on Norway's VG-lista chart on the 38th chart week of 2009, which corresponds to mid-September. The following week, it rose up to number one, knocking Donkeyboy's previous single, " Ambitions", from the top spot. It kept the position for three weeks before dropping to number six on chart week 42. However, it rose back to number one after two more weeks, once again dethroning "Ambitions". Linnea Dale (born 22 April 1991) is a Norwegian singer. Early life Linnea Dale was born in Tinn, Telemark, Norway. She attended the high school Skien videregående skole. ''Idol'' She was a contestant on the fifth season of the Norwegian ''Idol'' series in 2007, finishing in seventh place. Kiesza
Kiesa Rae Ellestad (born January 16, 1989), known professionally as Kiesza ( ), is a Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist from Calgary. In 2017, she was involved in a car accident in Toronto, suffering severe injuries that required her to take several years off to recover. To date, she has released the albums ''Sound of a Woman'' (2014) and '' Crave'' (2020). Early life Kiesza was born and raised in Calgary.
