Dongducheon Rock Festival is an annual rock festival, which has been held in late summer since 1999 in Dongducheon, South Korea. The motto of the festival includes hopes and wishes for peaceful reunion of South and North Korea. It is considered one of major music festivals in South Korea. Dongducheon
Dongducheon () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The city, to the north of Seoul, is strategically important for the defense of the Korean capital. The main camps of the United States Second Infantry Division are in the city, and the division command is at Uijeongbu. History Under Goguryeo, the dynasty's territory extended southward into Korean peninsula, and Dongducheon became part of the kingdom in the form of ''naeulmae hyun'' (a certain form of ancient village land holding). Later Dongducheon became Sacheon village of Unified Silla in the North-South States Period. It was part of the district of Yangju in Goryeo. Moon Hee-joon (; or spelled Moon Hee-jun; born March 14, 1978) is a South Korean pop rock singer-songwriter signed under SidusHQ. He initially rose to fame as the leader of former boy band H.O.T. under SM Entertainment. Biography 1996–2001: H.O.T. Being the second member to join H.O.T. after auditioning, Moon made his debut as a singer as the leader of the boy group. The group debuted with their first album, ''We Hate All Kinds of Violence'' in September 1996, which was accused of being plagiarized and lawsuits were placed against them. Kang San-eh (, born Kang Yeong-geol, ; November 3, 1963) is a South Korean folk rock singer-songwriter and actor. He is sometimes referred to as the "Korean Bob Dylan." Early life and education Kang was born in 1963 in Busan, South Korea. His mother had settled there during the Korean War as part of the Hungnam evacuation from North Korea in 1950. Kang has one brother and one sister. Kang moved to Seoul in 1982 to study traditional Korean medicine at Kyung Hee University. Career Kang made his debut with the album ''Ra-gu-yo'' in 1993. Cherry Filter (체리 필터) is a South Korean rock group formed in 1997. Their unique sound - consisting of emotional ballads, punk rock, rave and trance - prevalent in their last two albums has given them fame across South Korea. The song "낭만 고양이" (''Nangman Goyang-i'', "Romantic Cat") from the album ''Made In Korea'' made Cherry Filter famous. When Cherry Filter was first formed, everyone was curious about the meaning of the name "Cherry Filter". Anthrax (American Band)
Anthrax is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker.
