Donetsk State Technical University
Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU, formerly Donetsk Polytechnic Institute and other names) is the largest and oldest higher education establishment in Donets Basin, Donbas, founded in 1921. In its early years, it was attended by Nikita Khrushchev. Following the loss of Ukrainian government control over Donetsk in 2014 during the war in Donbas, the University was evacuated to Pokrovsk, Ukraine, Pokrovsk. A small group of collaborationists among the faculty have claimed to continue to operate as the Donetsk National Technical University in the campus in Russian-occupied Donetsk, as a project aimed to legitimize the so-called Donetsk People's Republic, however diplomas they issued weren't recognized even in Russia itself and local students were officially enrolled as correspondent students at minor provincial Russian universities. Drohobych
Drohobych ( ; ; ) is a city in the south of Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Drohobych Raion and hosts the administration of Drohobych urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. In 1939–1941 and 1944–1959 it was the center of Drohobych Oblast. Drohobych was founded at the end of the eleventh century as an important trading post and transport node between Kievan Rus' and the lands to the West of Rus'. The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR; , ) is Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine, occupied territory in Ukraine that the Russian Federation has claimed to annex and declared as a Republics of Russia, republic of Russia, comprising parts of eastern Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast, with its capital in Donetsk. Ismail Adaliatovych Abdullaiev (born 23 May 1966), also known under the pseudonym Vladimir Abdullaev (), is a Russian citizen from Donetsk Oblast, currently operating as the director of the pro-Russian broadcasting company Tavria TV, and formerly the director of Oplot TV until 2018.
