Donald's Dilemma
''Donald's Dilemma'' is a 1947 Walt Disney Studios animated cartoon directed by Jack King and starring Donald and Daisy Duck. It was originally released on July 11, 1947 in the United States. This short is somewhat of a misnomer. Although Donald is the official headliner for this cartoon, Daisy is the actual protagonist. The dilemma of the title is actually offered to her, not to Donald.Reid (2007), p. 60-61 Plot "Donald's Dilemma" starts with Daisy narrating her problem to an unseen psychologist through flashback scenes. James Patton "Jack" King (November 4, 1895 – October 4, 1958)Lenburg (2006), pp. 179-180 was an American animator and short film director best known for his work at Walt Disney Productions. Career According to Jeff Lenburg's assessment of him, King was an early pioneer of animation. His films were nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Misnomer
A misnomer is a name that is incorrectly or unsuitably applied. Leonard Michael Maltin (born December 18, 1950) is an American film critic and film historian, as well as an author of several mainstream books on cinema, focusing on nostalgic, celebratory narratives. He is perhaps best known for his book of film capsule reviews, ''Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide'', published annually from 1969 to 2014. Early life Maltin was born in New York City, the son of singer Jacqueline ( née Gould; 1923–2012) and Aaron Isaac Maltin (1915–2002), a lawyer and immigration judge. Insanity, madness, lunacy, and craziness are behaviors performed by certain abnormal mental or behavioral patterns.
