Donal Courtney
Donal Gerard Courtney is a former Irish Rugby Football Union, Irish rugby union referee. He served as a referee in the Celtic League (Rugby Union), Celtic League, the Heineken Cup, the European Rugby Challenge Cup, the Six Nations Championship and the 2004 Tri Nations Series, Tri Nations. Courtney refereed the 2002–03 European Shield, 2002–03 Parker Pen Shield final. Between 2009 and 2016 he served as the European Rugby Cup, ERC/European Professional Club Rugby, EPCR match officials performance manager. Early life Courtney was educated at C.B.C. Monkstown, CBC Monkstown and Trinity College, Dublin. He played rugby union for Monkstown Football Club, Monkstown until a serious shoulder injury ended his career in 1990. Old Belvedere R.F.C. is a senior Irish rugby union club based on Anglesea Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland. Old Belvedere was originally founded in 1918–19 by former pupils of Belvedere College.
