Donald Unamba, Jr. (born February 23, 1989) is a professional Canadian football defensive back who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Unamba played College Football for Southern Arkansas University. Professional career He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on April 2, 2014. On August 18, 2015, Unamba was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who signed him to the practice roster. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. Southern Arkansas University (SAU) is a public university in Magnolia, Arkansas. History Southern Arkansas University was established by an Act of the Arkansas Legislature in 1909 as a district agricultural high school for southwest Arkansas and was originally named Third District Agricultural School, often called by students and faculty "TDAS." Its first term began in January 1911, with its curriculum including only subjects at the secondary school level.
