Don Sirisena
Don Sirisena (born 1934 – died 1986 as දොන් සිරිසේන) inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and theater. One of the most popular comedy artists ever in Sri Lankan film history, Sirisena had a career spanned about three decades acted more than 150 films. Career Sirisena started cinema career in 1964 with the film ''Sobana Sitha''. Since then, he continued act in more than 150 films particularly as the supporting comedian with other popular comedy actors of his era such as Freddie Silva, B. S. ''Ara Soyza'' ( si, italic=yes, ඇර සොයිසා) is a 1984 Sri Lankan comedy film directed by Herbert Ranjith Peiris and produced by Dayasena Perera for Samagi Films. It stars Freddie Silva, Don Sirisena, Sabeetha Perera and Wimal Kumara de Costa in lead roles along with Rukmani Devi and Piyadasa Wijekoon. Music composed by director Herbert Ranjith Peiris himself. The film centers on three middle aged men staying in a hostel. At a later stage, another tenant comes to stay in the hostel, where he falls in love with the eldest daughter of the hostel owner. ''Kadawunu Poronduwa'' is a 1982 Sinhala drama film directed by Roy de Silva and produced by his wife Sumana Amarasinghe. It is a remake of the first Sinhala film ''Kadawunu Poronduwa''. The film stars Vijaya Kumaratunga and Sumana Amarasinghe in lead roles whereas Eddie Jayamanne, Joe Abeywickrama and Ruby de Mel in suppiortive roles. It also marks the film debut of comedian Sunil Hettiarachchi as well as final appearance of Eddie Jayamanne in cinema. ''Apeksha (The Hopes)'' is a 1978 Sri Lankan film directed by H.D. Premaratne and starring Malani Fonseka and Amarasiri Kalansuriya. Plot Niranjala (Malini Fonseka), a member of the English speaking elite, and Nimal ( Amarasiri Kalansooriya), a young university graduate, regularly meet at the gas station where he works.
