Don Patterson (born December 10, 1950) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois from 1999 to 2009, when he resigned due to health problems related to treatment for cancer. Patterson was the 18th football coach at the school. His record at Western Illinois was 63–47. Don Patterson (December 26, 1909 – December 12, 1998) was an American producer, animator, and director who worked at various studios during the Golden age of American animation, including Disney, Pixar Animation Studios, Touchstone Pictures, Silver Screen Partners IV., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio, DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Animation, Harman-Ising Productions, Walter Lantz Productions, Format Films, Famous Studios Grantray-Lawrence Animation; UPA, and Hanna-Barbera. He was the older brother of animator Ray Patterson. Patterson began his career in the early 1930s as an in-betweener at the Charles Mintz Studio, and then moved to the Walter Lantz Studio. Don Patterson (July 22, 1936 – February 10, 1988) was an American jazz organist. Early life Patterson played piano from childhood and was heavily influenced by Erroll Garner in his youth. In 1956, he switched to organ after hearing Jimmy Smith play the instrument. Career In the early-1960s, he began playing regularly with Sonny Stitt, and he began releasing material as a leader on Prestige Records from 1964 (with Pat Martino and Billy James as sidemen). His most commercially successful album was 1964's ''Holiday Soul'', which reached #85 on the ''Billboard'' 200 in 1967. Personal life Patterson's troubles with drug addiction hobbled his career in the 1970s, during which he occasionally recorded for Muse Records and lived in Gary, Indiana.Steve Huey, Don Pattersonat Allmusic In the 1980s, he moved to Philadelphia and made a small comeback, but his health deteriorated over the course of the decade, and he died there in 1988. He is a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, a former member of the B-Boys, and is best known as a member of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate. Career Late 1970s–1987: Universal Zulu Nation and the B-Boys Donald D began his career in 1978 in the Bronx, New York, when he became a member of the Universal Zulu Nation joining forces with Afrika Islam, DJ Jazzy Jay, Kid Vicious and others as the group the Funk Machine. He was featured on Afrika Islam's radio show the Zulu Beats on WHBI in 1982. Lamont and DJ Chuck Chillout formed a group named the B-Boys.
