Don Mason (baseball)
Donald Stetson Mason (December 20, 1944 – June 19, 2018) was an American professional baseball baseball player, player. The second baseman appeared in 336 games played, games in Major League Baseball over all or parts of eight seasons (1966–1973) for the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres. Mason also played three other full seasons in the National League (baseball), National League (, and ), exceeding 100 games played in 1969 and 1971. In the latter year, he was the most-used second baseman for the 1971 San Diego Padres season, 1971 Padres, starting 90 games at the position, but Mason batted only .212 will 11 runs batted in. All told, Mason collected 143 hits, with 16 double (baseball), doubles, three triple (baseball), triples, three homers and 27 runs batted in in 336 big-league games. He batted .205 lifetime. Don Mason (immunologist)
Donald W. Mason (1934 – 13 January 2021) was a British immunologist and professor of immunology in the MRC Cellular Immunology Unit at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at the University of Oxford. Professor Mason is best known for his work on regulatory T cells and their role in preventing autoimmunity. His distinction was recognised by his election in 2017 to honorary life membership of the British Society for Immunology. Don Barry Mason (1950–2006) was the founder of the Psychedelic Shamanistic Institute (PSI), a networking organisation that encouraged ethnobotany and scientific research into cannabis and other psychoactive plants while contributing substantially to the public debate about drug policy reform.
