Dominique Walter (born Dominique Gruère, 22 May 1942 – 26 August 2013) was a French singer. He was born in Paris and is the son of singer Michèle Arnaud. In 1966, he represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Chez Nous. At the close of voting, it had received just 1 point, placing it 16th in a field of 18 competitors. Michèle Arnaud (, born Micheline Caré; 18 March 1919 – 30 March 1998), was a French singer, recording artist, and director. She was buried on 18 September 1998 at Montparnasse Cemetery. She is the mother of the singer Dominique Walter and the photographer Florence Gruère. Arnaud was awarded a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur and Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. She was the first entrant for Luxembourg in the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Biography After completing her primary education in Cherbourg, she went to Paris where she took a course at the Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques. She gained two degrees in philosophy. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following the country's victory at the with the song " Poupée de cire, poupée de son" by France Gall. Guy Mardel
Guy Mardel (, born Mardochée Elkoubi; 30 June 1944, in Oran, French Algeria) is a French singer, best known for his participation in the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest. Mardel lived his first 15 years in Algeria before moving to France in 1959. He later enrolled in law school, while singing recreationally with a jazz band. He signed a contract with AZ Records in 1963 and released two singles before being chosen internally by channel ORTF in 1965 to represent France in that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song " N'avoue jamais" ("Never admit"). At the contest, held in Naples on 20 March, "N'avoue jamais" finished in third place of the 18 entries. Mardel was unable to capitalise on his Eurovision success, despite releasing many singles until the 1980s. In the 1970s he moved into record production, setting up his own record label, MM, in 1977. Noëlle Cordier (born 7 April 1944) is a French singer. She participated for France in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song " Il doit faire beau là-bas", finishing in third place of 17 entries (behind the runaway winner Sandie Shaw for the United Kingdom, and Ireland's Sean Dunphy). Cordier was born in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. She signed a contract with the record label Barclay shortly before being chosen for Eurovision. Cordier attempted a return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1970 with the song "Comme en pourrait s'aimer" but it was not selected to represent France.
