Dominique Lacasa
Dominique Lacasa (born on September 21, 1976) is a German singer who has been performing since she was nine years old. She made her debut with her parents, Frank Schöbel and Aurora Lacasa in a 1985 Christmas special. Later, she took classical and jazz training while touring with a pop band Two as One. Since 2008, she has performed as a solo artist, traveling from Alaska to New Zealand and experimenting with combinations of Latin rhythms, jazz, and pop. Frank Schöbel
Frank Schöbel (born 11 December 1942, Leipzig, Saxony, Germany) is a German musician. He was one of the most successful pop singers in socialist East Germany (GDR), and has continued to perform even after German reunification. Career As the second son of an opera singer, his early musical talent was discovered. He started his career in the GDR as a musician, but also appeared as a presenter and entertainer in TV shows and played in DEFA (GDR-state film production company) films. In 1971, he recorded "Wie ein Stern" (Like a Star), which appeared in the acclaimed 2007 film ''The Lives of Others''. This single was a smash hit in East Germany, selling 400,000 records from East Germany's Amiga, and 150,000 from the West German record company Philips. Aurora Lacasa (born Paris 24 March 1947) is a Schlager music, popular singer of Aragonese (Spanish) provenance who has made most of her professional career in the German Democratic Republic and, since Die Wende, 1989, in Germany. Life Early years Aurora Lacasa was born in Paris. Her parents were both journalists, and at the time of Aurora's birth the family were among the thousands of politically active Spanish intellectuals who had fled to France from Spain to escape from the Francoist Spain, violent predations of the Francisco Franco, Francoist regime, now in power following their victory in the Spanish Civil War. Reginal Dennis Benjamin Moore (March 31, 1981 – June 12, 2023) was an American-born Angolan basketball player. A power forward, attended from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 2001-2003. He played in Norway, United States Basketball League (USBL; under coach John Starks), Germany, and Portugal. He has a daughter, Makayla Moore who is a university student and lives in Texas. In 2012, Moore was granted Angolan citizenship, thus being eligible to play for the Angolan national squad. He is only the second U.S. citizen in the history of the country's existence to ever be granted Angolan nationality. Moore died in Luanda on June 12, 2023, at the age of 42. Kleinmachnow
Kleinmachnow is a municipality of about 20,000 inhabitants in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated South-West of the borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf and East of Potsdam. First mentioned in the Landbuch of Karl IV in 1375, the place played an important role at the Bäke beek / creek crossing, secured by multiple medieval castles. The last of these castles (none of which are preserved today) belonged to the Knights of Hake, a family who shaped the local history until the 20th century. The replacement of the Bäke (beek / creek) with the Teltow Canal in 1906 brought the village the now listed historic Kleinmachnow flood-gate. ARD is a joint organisation of Germany's regional public-service broadcasters. It was founded in 1950 in West Germany to represent the common interests of the new, decentralised, post-war broadcasting services – in particular the introduction of a joint television network.
