Domingo De Acassuso
Domingo de Acassuso (1658–1727) was a Spanish politician and military man, who served as mayor of Buenos Aires in 1716. He was the founder of the city of San Isidro in Buenos Aires Province. Biography He was born in Zalla, province of Biscay, the son of Domingo de Acassuso and María de los Terreros. He was married to Teresa de Pessoa, daughter of Alejo de Pessoa y Figueroa, a descendant of families Gonçalves- Nuñez Cabral de Melo, and Juana Gómes, a mulatto woman, from whose union with the Pessoa family, descend a large number of patrician families of Buenos Aires. Established in Buenos Aires fulfilled various political and military roles, including treasurer and accountant, and the vice-mayor of the city. His most important work was related to the construction of the Church of San Nicolás de Bari. He also was involved in the slave trade of Buenos Aires with the French and English factories. San Isidro, Buenos Aires
San Isidro is a city in Greater Buenos Aires. It is located 27.9 km from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA). It ranks as the province's most affluent neighborhood. History In 2007, San Isidro celebrated its 300 years of existence with different celebrations taking place in the Hippodrome and in other venues. Real Asiento de Inglaterra or Real Asiento de la Gran Bretaña, was the name in Spanish of the subsidiary in Buenos Aires of the South Sea Company. Domingo Pelliza (c. 1700 – c. 1770) was a politician and merchant of Genoese noble ancestry. He held several council posts in the City Council of the Viceroyalty of Peru, serving as Alcalde (Mayor) of "Hermandad" and Mayordomo of Buenos Aires. Biography Domingo Pelliza was born in La Spezia, Genoa to Giuseppe Brignole and Maria Pelliza. Club Atlético Acassuso is an Argentine sports club headquartered in San Isidro, Buenos Aires. The club is mostly known for its football team, which currently plays in Primera B, the regionalised third division of the Argentine football league system.
